Q: What’s in the Whipped Tallow Face Balm?

A: Our balms are handcrafted from 100% grass-fed, grass-finished tallow, organic botanically-infused oils, and essential oils like lavender and frankincense, all carefully chosen for their skin-soothing benefits. That’s it. No fillers, no junk, and nothing you can’t pronounce.

Q: Will it clog my pores?

A: Not at all! Despite what the internet says, tallow is incredibly compatible with human skin. It’s rich in fat-soluble vitamins and actually mimics our skin’s own oils. Our founder, Sarah, has struggled with cystic acne most of her life, and her skin has never been clearer since switching to tallow-based products.

Q: Can I use this if I’m pregnant or breastfeeding?

A: It's always best to check with your doctor before using anything new during pregnancy or breastfeeding. If you're sensitive to essential oils, we do suggest patch testing first. Our future formulas will include an unscented sensitive-skin version for extra peace of mind.

A: While this formula was made for grown-up skin, tallow itself is a wonderful option for baby skin. We’ll be launching a baby-safe version soon (with extra gentle ingredients), so keep an eye out.

A: Great question! Because this balm contains no stabilizers or waxes, it can melt if left in hot mailboxes. Just pop it in the fridge to re-solidify. The texture might shift slightly, but it’s still totally safe and effective.

A: Scoop a tiny amount (a little goes a long way) and warm it between your fingers, then gently massage into clean skin. You can use it morning or night, or both!

Q: Can I use the balm anywhere on my body, or is it just for the face?

A: While this balm was formulated specifically for the delicate skin on your face, it’s truly an everywhere balm. You can use it on dry hands, cracked cuticles, elbows, bellies, anywhere your skin needs extra love. Just a tiny amount goes a long way, and the nutrient-rich ingredients are safe and deeply nourishing from head to toe.

Q: What’s the shelf life of the balm?

A: Because we use real, unrefined ingredients without preservatives or fillers, we recommend using your balm within 3-6 months for peak freshness. That said, properly stored (in a cool, dry place with clean fingers or a spatula), it can last up to a year. You’ll know it’s past its prime if the scent changes or the texture becomes gritty, but honestly, most people use it up way before then.
